Modified Notification–Issued

The following modifications are made in the Prospectuspublished by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan for the conduct of Kerala TeacherEligibility Test August 2012

1.     The minimumeducational qualification required for appearing K-TET I is modified asfollows:

       Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diplomain Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE(Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002

OR

       HigherSecondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

2.     The minimumeducational qualification required for appearing K-TET II is modified asfollows:

       B.A. /B.Sc. / B.Com. and 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Trained Teachers’Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] conducted by Board of Examination,Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

       B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 1 - year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)regulations issued from time to time in this regard

OR

       HigherSecondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

       HigherSecondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and4-year B.A./ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed

3.     The minimumeducational qualification required for appearing K-TET III is modified asfollows:

       B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 1 - year Bachelor Degree in Education(B.Ed.) in the subject concerned.

OR

       B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 1 - year Bachelor Degree in Education(B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)regulations issued from time to time in this regard

OR

       HigherSecondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR

       HigherSecondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-yearB.A./ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed

4.     Relaxation in the qualifying marks for specialcategories.

Relaxationof 5% in minimum qualifying marks is admissible for reserve categories such asSC/ ST and Differently abled Candidates. (as per the norms or as desired by theGovt. of Kerala).

Arelaxation of 3% in the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC and OEC candidates for category II and III, and2% minimum marks for category 1

5.           Teachers who have qualified CTET, NET, SET and who have M.Ed, M.Philor Phd in the respective subject are exempted from K-TET. Claimants on orbefore 01.06.2012 as per chapter XIV A Rule 51A and B are also exempted.

    

6.           Last date of submission of online application forK-TET is extended upto 02.08.2012, 5pm
